Ricky G, Pete Bossman, Johnny Two Shoes and I are sitting outside at a large circular table drinking beers, Ricky to my left, Johnny to my right, Pete opposite. And Johnny is complaining about how people abuse the business trips.
“They expense the extra day for the car they use.”
He’s talking about an upcoming trip to Riyadh for the first four days of the week, followed by Frankfurt on Friday.
Except it is only Ricky and I who will go, as we are the only ones with the expertise. Especially when it comes to the Frankfurt leg, because that trip focuses on security.
I am thinking how to get a flight via London so that I can see my parents briefly before going on to Riyadh.
On the other hand I’ve never been to Riyadh so perhaps I should get there a day early. I would not expense that day, just to placate Johnny, but if the flight is less expensive would I request the difference?
